Occasionally I like to write about travel and locations. My favourite places in the world are Sardegna, Rome, Phuket, Hong Kong, and my number 1: Shanghai. Right now I'm missing home. I've blogged about how amazing my city is before but I really don't know how to express my appreciation for that place in words.
There's something about Shanghai that bonds people together - when you're what would be considered an "expat" and you meet others alike, no matter where you end up, you have this incredible understanding and connection that no other country has given me. I honestly can't explain myself properly. It's a magical place, and though I may not show it enough or know how to show it, I treasure the friends I've made there like no others. Even when we all leave and talk to each other from all over the world, we are all connected through Shanghai and our mutual love for everything about it.
